You can help make a difference in the lives of millions of homeless animals... Island Dog challenges you to become invloved in their historical effort to change the way animals are treated in the United States Caribbean Islands. There is an estimated 100,000-200,000 dogs roaming the streets and beaches, either born into homelessness, abandoned, or abused. On an island the size of Connecticut, Puerto Rico has 78 cities. While each city is required by law to have an animal shelter, there are currently 5 small, unequipped, and under funded shelters on the island. There are also 4 control agencies available for "humane euthanasia."It is estimated that 90% of animals entering these shelters are euthanized because of overpopulation and illness. There is an estimated 450 "pet shops" selling unhealthy, uncertified, and poorly kept animals. Many of these shops are illegally vaccinating and treating dogs. Most pets will find the streets their home when they graduate from their "cute stage." It is estimated that less then 10% of the pet population ever visit a veterinarian clinic. Situated along the southeast coast of Puerto Rico, lies Yabucoa. The animals abandoned or born on the Yabucoa coast are destined to die a painful death. On a daily basis animals are being poisoned, beaten, or butchered to their demise. The animals on this beach and other beaches throughout Puerto Rico are desperate to be rescued and receive the loving care we believe every animal deserves. With your contributions we can establish a rescue center in Yabucoa and other communities with similar needs. We can teach children torturing and killing animals is wrong. We can give parents resources to educate themselves and their kids about caring for their pets, inevitably creating support systems for both people and animals.
Celebrities such as Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez has help raise money and also awareness for the dogs in America's Caribbean. They also have auction their personal items to raise money such as an autograph guitar, Selena autograph high-top converse sneakers. For more information go to www.charitybuzz.com. To find out more about what you can do for the unfortunate dogs go to, www.islanddog.org.

Looking forward March holidays are here!!! WOOHOO!!!. So many plans but so little time.
Thursday The basic routine. School, Home. There was suppose to be a class race on that day. Some couldn't attend so it was cancalled. Went home early, later met up with Aini and made our way to SPH.Made lots of new friends, that was the best meeting for now. Lots of laughs. I'll be working with Along during Bahas under "food and welfare". Meeting ended at 10.30 wanted to take a bus form Yishun but nevermind. Walk to the back gate and took 88 instaed. Lisha couldn't come so went home alone, first time.Luckily there was alot of people at the bus stop.
Friday Rents met up with the "Man", rents didn't like it. Haha. Looks like I'm not the only one dislike the "Man". Went for cca after and was told that I was chosen to be the commandant for the Sec1 swearing in ceremony. So scary. Complain, complain. Disagree with the plan and they canceled the commandants duty instead I'll be the ic for Captain-Balls. Can't wait. So exciting.
Saturday Nothing much. Took the keyboard and tried playing Kelsey by Metro Station. Nice song. Took a long time to learn who to play it but managed. Tried hanging the board in my room. Took so much time. It was always slanted and I had to try bringing it down again and again. The mounting tape was so strong that was why it made the task so hard. Luckily it didn't drop onto my haed while i was sleeping.
Sunday Kangaroo Jack. Spongebob. Listening to music. Playing the keyboard. Decorate the board. Plan for this week. HOMEWORK. Waititng for the trip to Pulau Ubin. Need to get a plain white Tee.
This is what I alredy have in store this week: Monday - Out with Mum, Get baking stuff Tuesday - Learn to cook, do homework, study Wednesday - Threading, learn to cook, do homework, study Thursday - Cook, do homework, study, class outing, Bahas meeting Friday - Study date with friends at Changi Airport Saturday - Pualu Ubin Trip Sunday - Out with Family

Yesterday English "O" Level course, it really helped alot and I'm glad that I went. The speaker was hilarious and she is a really good speaker. My school was the only school that was in uniform while others were in their own clothes.
After the course met up with Aini and went to danceworks together. We came kinda late. Met up with azarkiddoazmiahqisorayaifansomeidon'tknowtheirnames. Hehe. I was the only one who was wearing my school uniform it was pretty akward but it was still fun. We were all laughing like we were suffering from mad cow disease. Haha.
The day before mesadnatsshafdarshlindianjustinacheryltrezaandlotsofothers went to the Suntec careers exhibition. Thought it was gonna be fun, but then it was not as fun as I thought it would be. After it we went to POPEYE'S to have our lunch. YUMMY!

I once heard a story straight from the heart. About a girl and how her world began to fall apart. It all started when she met the boy that made her life complete. Just thinking of him made her heart skip a beat. I can never stop thinking of him and every time I do, I get butterflies in my tummy. Haha.
I made a deal with Asiqah, that, if she tells the person she have a crush on, that she likes him, I am suppose to tell him that I like him. Haha.
this is me.
Rawr I'm Shakilah. People call me Shak. I turn a year older on 14 May. I am covered in FRECKLES. I love SWEETS they are like my small little version of happiness. I love to act but I'm just a little good at it.
